Broken Pole Tip
You've got some lovely blackdiamonds. They're light and comfortable and you've had them for years. Then the tip snaps off halfway up a mountain.
New poles at 3 figures? Give up your poles? Nah. Just replace the tip.
Fixing it
Steps
This is basically it:- Firstly, boil the end of your pole for TWO MINUTES;
- Secondly, grab some pliers and pull that badboy off;
- Thirdly, jam the new tip onto the end;
- Finally, find a hard surface and smack that pole end down hard a few times. Et Voila.

Trainer Wear
You love these trainers AND they still have miles left on the tread. If only the heel fabric hadn't worn through...
Well you can fix that with either a specialist patch or a bit of kt tape and some elastic glue.
Fixing it
Clean the area (ie brush off any dirt and loose bits), then smash the foam back in the hole. Apply glue, sticky it up, apply patch, leave 24-48 hours. The end.Pics

For visual reference:
- apply glue;
- stick patch on;
- leave to dry.

Jacket Zipper
You've got a banging waterproof jacket. It keeps you dry in the rain, it breathes well. It's confortable and doesn't rustle like a crisp packet....then the zipper stops zipping...
Is it time for a new jacket? I reckon maybe not.
Fixing it
The cost of my repair worked out at around 50p and 15 minutes of my time.Steps
This is basically it:- Firstly, remove the top stopper;
- Secondly, run the old zip off the now unstoppered top;
- Thirdly, run the new zip onto the unstoppered top;
- Finally, stick a new top stopper on and away you go.
